The Philosophy Of The Group Is That:

Pregnancy and Birth is a normal, natural and very exciting life event that can be a very positive and empowering experience

We believe women are incredibly strong and very well designed to give birth, the overwhelming majority will do this best without medical interference

Birth is not just a physical act, the workings of mind and body are intrinsically linked

Every woman should be able access information to enable her to make an informed choice and then to be supported in those choices regardless of the beliefs and preferences of those around her


Our Aims Are:

To highlight the benefits of Homebirth and Midwifery Care

To raise awareness of the issues surrounding our culture of medicalised birth

To provide information on all aspects of pregnancy, birth and early parenting to anybody who seeks it
